Our History and Mission

Express Missions International was actually born in the heart of its founder, AC Curtis, in 1994, as God began moving in AC's heart to start a ministry that would impact much of the un-reached world quickly. It wasn’t until 2007, 13 years later, and after many attempts at ministry that AC heard this call come again from the Lord. AC, his wife, and 5 small children were living in India and experiencing incredibly fruitful ministry when the Lord told AC to bring his family back home to the States. Dejected and full of sorrow, the Lord reminded AC of the call He had put on his life those many years before. In fact, it was AC’s wife, Amy who received the direct vision from God to move forward and base out of the U.S. to begin a global ministry. Amy spoke the exact vision to AC that he had heard from the Lord in 1994! It was just too much to be a coincidence, so immediately their family began making plans to birth this ministry.

Still, it wasn’t until January of 2009 that AC began to put together the pieces of this ministry. He had just come back from a mission trip to Ethiopia. Working side-by-side with national missionaries there, they helped give AC the final pieces to the “puzzle” that would become Express Missions International.

Today, Express Missions International is in 8 countries bringing humanitarian aid and the Gospel, helping the needy and bringing in the Harvest - just as the Lord had placed on AC’s heart in 1994.
